Explanations related to this Aboriginal painting :
'Jurrumi is the name of the river and the hills at this place, low down from Yarankga (Chinaman's Garden).' Gordon Barney says.
Yarangka is Barney's country. It lies on Alice Downs Station, where Barney was born and worked for many years on the cattle station. This was country that Barney used to muster cattle through and he used to camp here during holidays from the station.
Barney's grandfather used to come back to this place to camp each year. Barney says this is the 'river going down Turner River side.'
